bottle up with bkr (v)

bkr, started by Tal Winter and Kate Cutler, two beautiful and intelligent women in the US, who decided to put a little more glamour and smarts into drinking water.

“Eight hours of sleep, eight hours of work, eight hours of fun, eight glasses of water—rinse and repeat.”

Think about it, instead of paying an exorbitant price for bottled water, why not tap into an equally as good free resource? Why not pool your money together for a one off purchase that you’re proud to show off while considerably reducing your impact on the environment to boot.

Before we get into how great the bkr water bottle is, lets take a look at the impact of bottled water. Humans require at least two litres of drinking water a day to keep our bodies hydrated and with our increasingly busy lifestyles, more and more people are purchasing bottled water.

The process of producing bottled water is not an easy one. The bottle needs to be made, filled with water, transported (usually from a remote and exotic place), refrigerated and recycled or disposed of. It’s a pretty long journey for a humble bottle of water, which in terms of energy can be visualised by filling a quarter of the bottle with oil – that is how much energy is needed to produce it.

So why are water bottles like bkr so good?

bkr water bottles are made of BPA-free, phthalate-free, FDA approved materials. Its glass bottle, silicone sleeve cap are all recyclable. A glass bottle also has more benefits that expected by not altering the taste of its contents and not allowing any unsafe chemicals to leach and make you sick. Oh and did I mention that there are three sizes and over 15 styles and colours to choose from.

So make the investment, throw it in your bag, take it to the gym, take it to work and toast to reducing your impact on the environment.

Happy hydrating x
