who gives a crap?

Not the most fashionable of subjects, but this loo roll is more than what meets the eye. This 100% recycled toilet paper has a mission to change lives beyond you and your bathroom. Who Gives A Crap, an Australian born company, creates paper products that are 100% forest friendly and 50% of profits are donated to building toilets in developing countries.

“We’re determined to prove that toilet paper is about more than just wiping bums. We make all of our products with environmentally friendly materials, and we donate 50% of our profits to help build toilets for those in need.”

Why are Forest Friendly products so good? Every day thousands of hectares of endangered forest in Australia and overseas are logged and woodchipped for products we use daily. Clearing native forests affects water and air quality, reduces biodiversity and rare species’ habitat, and is a major contributor to climate change. Forest Friendly products use sustainable plantation materials and recycled pulps which reduces carbon emissions, saves water and spares native trees.

Why are toilets are so important? Bad sanitation causes diarrhoea related diseases that fill over half of sub-Saharan African hospital beds and kill 900 children under 5 every day. Toilets have been helping to avoid these illnesses and increasing quality of life. To date Who Gives A Crap has donated over $428,500 to hygiene and sanitation projects.

Alongside all of this, what’s not to love when the price is comparable to what you buy instore and each roll comes lovingly wrapped in recycled paper – not plastic. Not only do these guys love to make toilet paper, they make kitchen paper towels and tissues as well! Each product has a different design to enjoy and even their packaging printing processes are eco-friendly. AND did I mention they deliver to your door?!

It doesn’t get much better than this. All I have to ask is: Do you give a crap? If so, start stocking up here!

Happy bathrooming!
